We save lives
Doris Banham Dog Rescue
Doris Banham Dog Rescue saves dogs from being put to sleep by police, council pounds, vets and social services. Other charities often pass by the sick, old and those needing training. Doris Banham is the last hope when our best friend has no one else to call on.

Adopt Me
Adopting saves two lives - the one you take home and the one who takes their place in our rescue
We've done our bit and saved these lads and lasses from their fate. Now, can you offer up a place in your heart and your home?

Adey
Please meet our cheerful gorgeous crossbreed, a very happy boy with a tail that just won’t stop wagging!

Aztec
Look who needs a home. Poor Aztec was in the pound and his time was up.

Banksy
Banksy is a lovely affectionate mixed breed dog from the continent, potentially with some Retriever in him.

Bear
Bear came into our care as a terrified and disorientated pup. Bear will need several visits so he can gain trust with you and will need to go to an adult only home..

Blaze
My name is Blaze. Sadly my Mum was not well enough to look after me and she was waiting to have an operation.

Cookie
Cookie is as sweet as his name suggests and he’s looking for a home! Cookie is a male Lurcher X. He is a lovely dog and so friendly.

Jäger
A handsome Mastiff cross who’s only a few years old and full of love. He’s a big softie who forms strong bonds with people and absolutely loves giving paw.

Hunter
A boy that is great with everybody. He enjoys his walks and is good on the lead. On occasions he may bark at other dogs, but there is no aggression.
How can you help?
There are many ways you can help us save dogs and below are just some of the ways you can help.
Time saves dogs
The sands of time are running down for stray and neglected dogs in council pounds. Help us to get them on the road to recovery and into the forever home that they deserve.
Saving Dogs
Saving dogs from the council pound and nursing them back to health and a sense of normality is just the first step. We have only so much space and a seemingly endless stream of new dogs in need of our help. Could you be the final link in the chain that offers one of our dogs the loving home that they deserve?
Foreign Currency
Just returned from holiday with a Fistful of Dollars, or Euro or Yen? If you don't think it's worth waiting in line at the bank to change them back then there's always somebody willing to take them off your hands.
Join our team
If you are unable to assist financially and not currently able to offer a home to one of our dogs there are still a number of different ways in which you can lend a hand.
